Galve jazz fiesta

The old capital of Lithuania, Trakai, is represented not only by its medieval castles, which testify to the history of the country's statehood, and its natural surroundings, but also by the Galvė Jazz Fiesta, which has been organised since 2008.
These are jazz evenings on the sailing ship "Galvės", where the most famous Lithuanian jazz stars and guests from abroad perform. Galvė jazz fiesta is the only such jazz project in Lithuania.
Jazz lovers not only embark on a musical journey around the Galvė Lake, but also enjoy the Trakai castles, the looming palace of Užutrakis Manor, the stunning landscape, and the sun while listening to the music.
The last chords of the concert are struck as dusk falls on the lake and the ship returns to the Royal Harbour Pier. Jazz boat trips have a particularly warm aura of closeness, as the music over the water merges with the shifting images of nature and leaves a stunning impression.
Galves jazz fiesta is a different kind of Trakai, sounding with a jazz rhythm.
Galves jazz fiesta takes place every Friday evening in July and August.
